Temple of Flesh started out as “Dead Doll Tattoo” in early 2022. Victoria opened Dead Doll Tattoo at the age of 20. She realized she wanted to follow a career down an artistic path, and decided she wanted to learn to tattoo due to her lifelong admiration for art and body modification. Victoria’s mother kindly provided her with a room in her beauty salon, which she would soon turn into her tattoo room. Victoria decided to embark on the long journey of teaching herself to tattoo. After years of learning all the fundamentals of tattooing, the laws around tattooing, running a business, and proper sanitation, she started working on fake skins. She slowly got comfortable enough to start doing small tattoos on herself, friends & family. She soon got to the point where she would start taking on real clients. Business started off slow at first, but as each year passed, the more and more clientele she was able to bring in with social media promotion and word of mouth. Victoria has been tattooing for almost 4 years now. Since then, she has developed her own tattoo style that she prefers to work in; a bold, gothic black and grey style, with dark and spooky imagery such as skulls, insects, flowers, animals, and lady faces. She also learned to tattoo in many other tattoo styles such as american traditional, fineline, script, watercolor, and more.
In late 2025, Victoria welcomed her brother Jay on as her tattoo apprentice. Jay has also been a talented artist from a very young age. Throughout school, he created very well crafted charcoal portrait drawings in art class, and he would paint on various things around his room. He expressed his interest in learning to tattoo, so Victoria decided to take him on as her apprentice. In October 2025, they would knock a wall down in the studio to expand and remodel to have adequate room for another tattoo station. They would officially rebrand the shop name to “Temple of Flesh” in January 2026. Jay hopes to work in both black & grey and full color American Traditional style tattoos. He also hopes to work in a similar style to Victoria, in dark and gothic style. He also hopes to master the most common tattoo basics, such as script, fine line, full color and black and grey work.
Our mission at Temple of Flesh is to create a fun, welcoming, and professional atmosphere to get tattooed in. In an industry dominated by men, where it may be intimidating to get tattooed and speak up for yourself and tell your artist exactly what you want, we are hoping to do things differently. Our studio is both a woman and LGBT owned business. We strive to create an environment where every client is treated with respect regardless of gender identity, orientation, race, religion, and we promise to greet you and refer to you as your preferred name and pronouns. We also strive to make the environment very comfortable and calm. We offer a private area with doors that can be closed at any time, and we offer many things to make clients more comfortable such as blankets, pillows, stress balls, sensory toys, snacks and drinks which are free of charge. We strive to make our clients comfortable to speak up if they are uncomfortable, unhappy with their design or hoping to make any changes. We aim to treat our clients with high levels of respect and make them feel nothing but comfortable, confident and happy to get tattooed here.
